Scientific Planet Society (SPS) is a prominent scientific society headquarter at 23, Dwarka Puri, Near Engineering Enclave, GMS Road, Dehradun-248001 India.
Mission
The SPS is scientific society of individuals interested in the science. The mission of the Scientific Planet Society is to advance the science in India as a vehicle for understanding life processes and to apply and communicate this knowledge for the improvement of health and environmental and economic well being worldwide. Governance
Scientific Planet Society (SPS) governance structure has two major components
a- General Body
b- Executive Body
General Body: General Body is made up of 10 voting members. All the Members of the Society shall be members of the General Body and shall be entitled to one vote only. Each member is charged with fiduciary responsibility for the actions and activities of the Society.
Executive Body: It consists of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and 3 members elected by the General Body. The Executive Body member has full authority to act ad interim for the Council; exercises the usual functions of an executive committee; and carries out further duties as provided in the SPS Bylaws. However this authority is "subject to subsequent explanation to and approval by the Council."

ARTICLE III. OBJECTIVES
The aims and objects of the Society are exclusively educational and scientific endeavors:
Section 1. To impart and or Promote Science Education & Research.
Section 2. To Publish Science Journals, Books & Magazine to Promote Science Education & Research.
Section 3. To arrange, hold or conduct community health training programs to impart skills needed for services to a greater scope of primary healthcare needs of the communities.
Section 4. Promote the contributions and promise of the Scientist.
The Society has been formed exclusively for the aforementioned scientific and educational purposes, and no part of its assets, income, or profit shall inure to the benefit of its members, directors, or officers. All the aims and objects of the society will be charitable and non-commercial as per the provisions laid down in Section 1 and 20 of Societies Registration Act, 1860.
Further, no substantial part of the activities of the Society shall be the carrying on of propaganda or otherwise attempting to influence legislations, nor shall the society participate in, or intervene in (including the publication or distribution of statements), any political campaign on behalf of any candidate for public office.
