Dr. M.K.Tripathi is currently working as Senior Scientist (Biochemistry) at AGRO PRODUCE PROSESSING DIVISION, CIAE, Bhopal, India since 2009. He is a postgraduate of Biochemistry and obtained Ph.D in Biochemistry from G.B.Pant University of agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar.He served as Asst. Professor, Head and Dean in Dolphin (P.G.) Institute of Biomedical Science, Dehradun and as Faculty member in ICFAI Uni, Dehradun. Subsequently he directly selected as Senior Scientist in Central Institute of Agricultural Engg, (ICAR) Bhopal. He successfully headed several institute responsibilities and developed several laboratories. He is a life member of Indian Society of Analytical Scientist and Society of Biological Scientists of India. His major areas of professional interest include Medicinal Compounds, Functional Food Development, Nutraceutical, feremted food, Food safety and Food quality evaluation. His current areas of research in production of of probiotic culture production, development of functional food and non dairy probiotic food. His major professional achievements in areas of medicinal compounds extraction and characterization, value addition to soya products, development of fermented soy based fruit beverages, different types of tofu and utilization of soy by-products.
He has qualified for Shyama Prasad Mukherjee fellowship (SPM, CSIR-2002), CSIR, JRF-NET (2001) and ASRB NET (2001). He has published research papers in international and National journal of repute, book chapters, technical/popular articles and registerd two genes in NCBI and authored books in areas of Food Processing, Modern food, food safety and Nutraceuticals. He has guided more than 50 PG students and organized several national symposiums and workshops. Author received several awards in the area of molecular biology, biochemistry and food processing. He received several best presentation awards and fellowships. He is working as an Editor-In-Chief, Member of editorial Board and Reviewer of reputed national and international journals.
